Naltrexone, low-dose oral treatment for alcohol or narcotic dependence is often multimodal, including behavioral therapy (counseling, 12-step program, etc.) and medical therapy. Naltrexone is an example of an oral drug used in a recovery program. Low-dose naltrexone is a bit different from the naltrexone used for addiction recovery.
