Impossible to find and because my cavvie, Bailey, is diabetic and blind, and on 2 other prescriptive medicines, I needed a more economical choice. I was buying a name brand of pimobendane online for our 5 year-old Captain, after he was diagnosed with mitral valve disease. Wonderful! This has literally been a lifesaver for my dog who is on Pimobendan For congestive heart failure. I tried this medicine for my dog in the chewable form from other sites and he wouldn't eat them. I was always forcing them down his throat. I then found this company and the vet agreed to give me a large dose that I can break into individual doses. He eats this medicine in a bite of turkey and the price is much better too!

Even during Covid crisis pet parents seem to be gouged so now we need to make a choice to watch our family members die so we can try to fill RX's for everyone? Come on there must be some wiggle room in pharma profits. Please Contact your drug supplier. Come on-Take some profits from the billion + dollar supplement industry to subsidize life needed RX's! Between flea, heartguard, 2 heart meds and food is costing over $110 mo for just 1 pet, let alone afford a bone so they can clean their teeth since they no longer supplied with the beef you buy. It shouldn't be a luxury to house a small family member:( Bad pharmaceuticals

So far so good. If the company that makes Vetmedin can't keep up with demand they should sell it to somebody who can. You guys are actual life savers.

I started using Pimobendan from Carefirst about 8 months ago, when I could no longer find Vetmedin. It works as well as the national brand and is much easier to give my chihuahua than the chewable type. Thank you Carefirst!

This generic version of Vetmedin is a life saver! After our 11 1/2 year old Gordon Setter was diagnosed with DCM in November 2018, we struggled to find a way to find a way to keep him comfortable that didn't break the bank. At the time there was a production shortage of Vetmedin making it difficult to find the medication in the right dosage. Then I found CareFirst Specialty pharmacy and their generic Vetmedin.
