In response to the increasing concern regarding Covid-19 and its impact to the community, we wanted to assure our customers that we are taking the current pandemic very seriously and have taken careful measures to ensure safe, uninterrupted service for our customers.

Taking Care of Our Customers

As an essential business, CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy remains operational and is still shipping prescription orders to applicable states. If you need assistance or have any questions, we have easy ways to get in touch with us during and after normal business hours:

Also, we realize that drug and supply shortages remain a concern during this time. Our purchasing team is working very hard to source an adequate and safe supply of materials to minimize any disruption of medication therapy for our patients.

Taking Care of Our Employees

We have a dedicated team closely monitoring updates on the pandemic with guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), local and federal governments. In addition, we have implemented the following with our employees:

  • Enhanced daily cleaning, sanitation and hygiene procedures.

  • Requiring sick employees to stay home to fully recover with sick pay assistance available.

  • Option for employees to work remotely if able.

  • All non-essential employee gatherings such as meetings, social events, etc have been postponed.

  • Access to the facility has been limited to essential employees.
