Although we do not bill your insurance provider, we do provide our patients with a Universal Claim Form by which they may submit to their insurance for possible reimbursement directly to them. Many insurance companies require the compounding pharmacy to be accredited and some specific insurance companies require their individual credentialing like United Heathcare. We at CareFirst are nationally accredited and are credentialed by United Healthcare. We are also available to help in any way that we can to expedite the process or to offer advice if you experience problems. In many cases with our competitive prices the co-payment for compounded medications if approved generally is the same or more than the actual cost of the medication for many patients.
